Japanese KATABA Universal 250mm Saw - for rip, cross, and mitre cutting
Professional Japanese kataba-type saw (the equivalent of a European hand saw) designed for cutting wood and wood-based materials.
This popular kataba model combines a traditional blade shape with a modernized pistol grip. The saw is perfectly suited for deep cuts, creating tenons and dowels, and many other carpentry tasks. The very thin blade leaves a narrow kerf (approx. 0.66mm).
Impulse-hardened teeth provide 3 times longer service life and sharpness compared to standard European saws.
Fine teeth (19TPI). As with all Japanese saws, cutting occurs only on the pull stroke. As a result, Japanese saws feature blades that are thinner, lighter, and smoother, allowing for faster cutting.
Advantages:
- rip, cross, and mitre cutting;
- fine teeth
- impulse-hardened teeth
- replaceable blade (HOOK type - toolless replacement)
- comfortable pistol grip coated with a non-slip elastomer-plastic compound
