Japanese Kataba saw - the equivalent of the European payroll saw
Universal notch saw - ideal for cross, rip and mitre cuts. Designed for cutting in wood and wood based materials. Catabra with straight handle perfect for deep cutting and precise cutting of tenons and dovetails. Impulse hardened teeth provide 3 times longer life and sharpness compared to traditional saws.

Shogun saws with pulse hardened teeth (hardness approximately Hv900-950) provide a much longer life than teeth in traditional saws. Impulse hardened teeth keep cutting edges sharp 3 times longer than traditional saw teeth.
As with all japanese saws cutting occurs only when pulling the saw towards itself. Thanks to this japanese saws have thinner, lighter and smoother blades that make faster cuts.
