Door Lock Mortising Jig

An adjustable jig for precisely creating door lock openings, this tool is a reliable accessory for the final stage of crafting unique doors—installing locks and latches.

Made from high-quality 12mm thick high-pressure laminate, this jig ensures dimensional stability. It has an adjustable width to fit door thickness (for precise centering) and can be adjusted to match the length of the lock mortise.

The jig includes interchangeable templates for routing lock mortises and faceplate recesses for door panels and locks in the following sizes:

• 2 templates for lock faceplates of 25.4mm (1") and 22.5mm (7/8")
• Templates for lock bodies with widths of 19mm (3/4") and 16mm (5/8")

Suitable for doors up to 58mm (2 1/4") thick.

Required equipment: router with a 12.7mm (1/2") straight bit with extended reach and a 16mm guide bushing.
