Impulse-hardened teeth
Shogun saws with impulse-hardened teeth (hardness approx. Hv900-950) provide much longer life than teeth on traditional saws. The pulse hardened teeth keep their cutting edges sharp 3 times longer than traditional saw teeth.
As with all Japanese saws, cutting occurs only when the saw is pulled towards itself. As a result, Japanese saws have blades that are thinner, lighter and smoother resulting in a faster cut.
