Master Craft - Shogun Daiku is a series of professional Japanese hand saws for the most demanding users. All saws in the Master Craft series are known for their exceptional cutting precision. The blades are thinner than those of other saws, with a thickness of just 0.27mm! All saws in the Shogun Daiku - Master Craft series are specially hardened and chrome-plated. Chrome plating prevents rust and ensures that the harder blade surface provides even better cutting performance.

Dozuki Woodworking Saw – The Japanese Equivalent of the European Backsaw

This Japanese Dozuki saw features an almost full steel spine for enhanced rigidity and precision. The blade has fine, unset teeth, which ensure no scratch marks are left on the wood surface when cutting dowels or plugs. The fine teeth and thin chrome-plated blade produce an exceptionally narrow kerf (0.27mm) and are recommended wherever accuracy and precise straight cuts are required.

The steel spine provides excellent stability during cutting, reducing the risk of blade bending or breaking, but it also limits cutting depth. This Dozuki model allows a cutting depth of up to 33mm and is particularly suitable for making joints, tenons, dovetail connections, and precise cuts.

Specifications:

  • Blade length: 180mm
  • Blade thickness: 0.27mm

Note: Handles made of natural rattan may have discolorations and minor imperfections, which are natural characteristics of the material and do not affect the saw's performance.

As with all Japanese saws, cutting occurs only on the pull stroke. This design allows Japanese saws to have thinner, lighter, and smoother blades, enabling faster and more efficient cuts.
