APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Material Moisture: The moisture content of the glued material should be 6-10%. Excessive moisture significantly increases bonding time.
Material Preparation: The material should be prepared and glued on the same day. Ensure bonding surfaces are flat and free from wood dust.
To achieve even pressure distribution during gluing, the thickness difference of the glued material should not exceed ±0.15 mm. Maximum deflection of the bonded material: 1.5 mm.
Application: The typical application amount is 120-150 g/m². For porous or uneven surfaces, this amount may need to be increased.
Open Time: 3-7 minutes, depending on the amount of glue applied, porosity of the material, wood moisture, bonding temperature, and other factors.
Pressing Pressure: Pressing pressure mainly depends on the wood type. Suggested values are: softwoods: 7.0-10.5 Kg/cm²; medium-hardwoods: 8.8-12.3 Kg/cm²; hardwoods: 12.3-17.6 Kg/cm².
Pressing Time: 10-15 minutes, depending on wood type, moisture, and bonding temperature. Check the bond speed indicator using the Franklin International method. A higher indicator value suggests a shorter pressing time.
Post-Bonding: After removing the item from the press, the joint reaches initial strength, allowing handling. Mechanical processing is recommended the next day to avoid dimensional changes due to residual moisture in the glue line.
Cleaning: Use cold water for wet glue removal. For partially dried glue, use hot water. For fully dried glue, the best results are achieved with hot steam. To prevent glue buildup on equipment and tools, an anti-adhesive agent is recommended.
