This coarse-grit Japanese Nagura stone is designed for the maintenance and cleaning of water stone surfaces before and after sharpening.

The stone has two sides with different grits – #180 and #400. This accessory easily removes residual metal micro-particles and keeps the stone clean. It produces a slurry that enhances sharpening efficiency and provides additional polishing to the tool. The coarser side of the Nagura also helps to level the sharpening stone’s surface and reduce fine scratches left from sharpening narrow chisels or knives.

Instructions for use:
Soak the Nagura stone in water for a few minutes before use. Apply to the wet water stone in circular motions.
