Iwasaki Wood Files offer exceptionally fast material removal, nearly five times faster than traditional rasps.

While a rasp produces sawdust and a file creates fine dust, Iwasaki tools produce miniature shavings. Similar to a rasp, the Iwasaki file removes material very quickly, but the resulting surface is significantly smoother and requires only minimal sanding for finishing (comparable to 280-grit sandpaper).

The secret of Iwasaki files lies in their manufacturing process, featuring uniquely shaped teeth. Additionally, diagonal grooves shift the teeth, and each tooth acts as a miniature chip breaker, reducing clogging. The tooth spacing is 1.6mm.
