Small Hand Plane HP-8 Bridge City
A handy, exceptionally precise mini hand plane from the American manufacturer Bridge City—specifically designed for special tasks involving the processing of small and exceptionally delicate elements.
Dedicated to even the most demanding users, the planing depth can achieve as little as 0.025mm.
The plane is made from high-quality aerospace aluminum, machined with CNC technology. Anodizing adds charm and smoothness to all components of the plane, making it easy and pleasant to work with.
The plane consists of a base with adjustable jaws for the blade, side rails with variable height, a knife, and a planing adjustment system. Lowering the side rails allows for more efficient handling of the plane over narrow strips.
The blade is set at a 12-degree angle from the plane’s base, resulting in a 42-degree planing angle. The blade is finished and ready to use—no additional adjustments are needed.
The plane excels in tasks such as:
- Instrument construction - finishing small structural elements, etc.
- Creating delicate projects such as Japanese Shoji screens
- Assembling intricate and beautiful compositions like Japanese Kumiko
- Many other projects requiring particular precision and delicacy.
