Master Craft - Shogun Daiku is a series of professional Japanese hand saws for the most demanding users. All saws in the Master Craft series are characterized by exceptional cutting precision. The blades are thinner than those of other saws, with a thickness of only 0.27mm! All saws in the Shogun Daiku - Master Craft series are specially hardened and chrome-plated. The chrome plating prevents rust and ensures that the harder blade surface provides even better cutting performance.

Combination Saw 2-in-1: Dozuki + Flush-Cut Saw

This Japanese saw features a unique and exceptional design, combining two saws in one tool: a precise Dozuki saw with a reinforced spine and a flexible flush-cut saw.

The saw has a reinforced blade section of 150mm with set teeth, and a spine-free (flexible) section of 90mm with unset teeth.

The blade section with fine and unset teeth does not leave scratch marks on the wood surface when cutting dowels or plugs. The fine teeth and thin chrome-plated blade produce a very narrow kerf (0.27mm and 0.4mm), making it ideal for tasks that require accuracy and precise straight cuts.

The metal spine provides excellent stability during cutting, reducing the risk of blade bending or breaking, but it also limits the cutting depth. This Dozuki model offers a cutting depth of up to 40mm and is particularly recommended for making joints, tenons, dovetail connections, and precise cuts.

  • Blade thickness: 0.27mm

Note: Handles made of natural rattan may have slight discolorations and minor imperfections, which are natural characteristics of rattan and do not affect the saw's performance.

As with all Japanese saws, cutting is performed only on the pull stroke. This allows Japanese saws to have thinner, lighter, and smoother blades, enabling faster and more efficient cutting.
