Impulse-tempered teeth
Shogun saws with pulse hardened teeth (hardness approximately Hv900-950) provide a much longer life than teeth in traditional saws. Impulse hardened teeth keep cutting edge sharpness 3 times longer than traditional saw teeth.
As with all Japanese saws, cutting occurs only when the saw is pulled towards itself. As a result, Japanese saws have blades that are thinner, lighter and smoother resulting in a faster cut.
